The 2006 National Law Day Coordinating Committee has finalized its preparations and the program activities of the Federated States of Micronesia Law Dda scheduled to be held at the FSM Supreme Court on July 12, 2006, starting at 9:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The invited guests include the President of the FSM, Speaker of the FSM Congress, Chief Justice, Associate Justices and Senior Justice Benson of the Supreme Court of the FSM, U.S. Ambassador to the FSM, Ambassadors of other foreign governments in the FSM, Governors and other leaders of the FSM States governments, Speakers, Chief Justices and Associate Justices of the FSM States, student debaters from Pohnpei, Chuuk and Yap, Municipal Justices and others.

The events of the National Law Day each year include debates between High School students representing each of the States of the FSM and the President of the FSM has declared July 12 this year as the Micronesia Law Day. In addition to these, the Supreme Court of the FSM celebrates its 25^th anniversary and the United States Embassy in the FSM in consultation with the Supreme Court of the FSM sponsors an essay contest this year of high school students through the FSM.
