 National tax reform team visits statesThe Federated States of Micronesia Tax Reform Task Force (TRTF) is currently visiting the Federation to present to the Leaderships and the private sectors, its preliminary findings and recommendations on tax reform. The TRTF had began their visits in Pohnpei where they met with the State Leadership on July 21 and the met the following day with representatives of the Private Sector. It will continue its schedule in the State of Chuuk from August 1 - 2, followed by Yap State on August 3 and 4th. The TRTF will wrap up their state visits in Kosrae on September 1 & 2, 2005. The Chairman of the Task Force, Vice President Redley Killion, has called for a meeting of the Task Force immediately following their visit with the Leadership of Yap to review their progress and "results of the feedback thus far from the states so we can finalize our recommendations before submission to the President and the FSM Congress."
