Leadership training opportunity offered for Pacific women

The Department of Foreign Affairs invites interested women from the Federated States of Micronesia to apply for a Leadership training opportunity at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Slated for June 2006, the course is entitled "Leaders in Development: Managing Political and Economic Reform Programme," and is to be held from June 12-23, 2006.

According to the Department, the training opportunity is open to all Pacific women leaders and those with leadership potentials.

The training opportunity is a collaborative effort by the New Zealand Agency for International Development (NZAID) and the Council of Women World Leaders (CWWL) to fund the attendance of six qualified applicants from the Pacific region.

Interested women must submit their applications to the New Zealand Agency for International Development (NZAID) by 5:00 pm - January 16, 2006. The address is:
