 Joint inauguration celebrates Pohnpei LeadershipKOLONIA, Pohnpei (FSM Information Service): January 17, 2004 - A joint Inauguration was held on January 12 2004, to seat the Head of Pohnpei State Government - Governor Johnny P. David and Lieutenant Governor Jack E. Yakana and members of the State's Sixth Legislative body. The Oath of Office was administered to both Branches in front of a packed audience at the Pohnpei State Track & Field. Members of the audience include members of Paramount Chiefs of Pohnpei, President Joseph J. Urusemal, Vice President Redley Killion, officials from both the National and State Governments and dignitaries from the various governments and institutions in the FSM and the region. With collaboration of the local media, the ceremony was broadcasted "live" through both the local radio and TV. On the same day, the Legislatures held its reorganization meeting during which it elected new leadership for the Sixth Pohnpei State Legislature: Speaker: Senator Nelson N.
