 Public Announcement/Travel AdvisoryFriday, October 12, 2001The FSM Ambassador to the United States has advised the FSM government that a warning was issued today by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) warning the American public via the news media that the U.S. Government has received certain information that indicates more possible terrorist attacks either in the U.S. or overseas against American targets and interests in the next few days. The information does not specify targets. The FBI has warned all law enforcement officers to be on the highest level of alert. Given the special relationship between the FSM and the United States, and prior statements of terrorist organizations, the people of the FSM are advised to be extra vigilant and on the alert if they plan to travel in the next few days or week. For those citizens who have access to the news, they are advised to monitor the news development on CNN, MSNBC, Voice of America or on their local radio station for further development.
